What happens if my fare lock expires?
Quick answer
If the balance is not paid before the deadline, the airline releases the reservation automatically and no ticket is issued.
Good to know
- The lock fee is non-refundable once the lock lapses unconverted.
- Locks cannot be cancelled early — they simply expire with the airline.
- You can always search again and book or lock at the current price.
